  • Automatically, when you use our website, through cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).
  • From our service providers, such as payment confirmations from our payment partner and delivery updates from our shipping partners.

4. Why we use your personal data

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you use our site, place an order or contact us, or for other legitimate uses permitted by applicable law. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time (see section 9). Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out, and we may not be able to complete an order without the information needed to deliver it.

5. Cookies, analytics & advertising

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them in the following ways:

  • Essential: to keep your bag, run checkout, remember your cookie choices and keep the site secure. The site cannot work properly without these.
  • Analytics: Shopify's built-in store analytics help us understand, in aggregate, how people use the site so we can improve it.
  • Personalisation: to remember preferences such as your selected shade.
  • Advertising: we use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API (provided by Meta Platforms, which operates Facebook and Instagram) to measure and improve our advertising and to show relevant ads to people who have visited our site. When you browse our site or place an order, information such as pages and products viewed, items added to your bag, purchase value, device and browser information, and your contact details in hashed (encrypted) form may be shared with Meta. Meta may use this information in line with its own privacy policy. You can manage how Meta uses this data through your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences and Off-Facebook Activity settings, or contact us at admin@seasaltco.in to ask us to stop sharing your data for advertising.

You can control cookies through the cookie controls on our site, where shown, and through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site, such as checkout, from working.

We share personal data only as needed for the purposes above:

Shopify may also use some information for its own purposes, such as fraud prevention, security and its own services, in which case Shopify is responsible for that processing. Different categories of information may therefore be retained for different periods.

We maintain reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Where required by applicable law, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant authorities of a personal-data breach.
